Black Ash · Full Live Performance Film

Live in the Concrete Valley // Buenos Aires

Black Ash Live is a full-length visual entertainment piece built around a live performance by industrial metal group Black Ash. The show combines six tracks, four animated interludes, and animated end credits into a single cohesive experience.

Each track reflects a distinct era in the group's narrative universe — a fictional world with its own lore, characters, and mythology. The interludes serve as connective tissue between tracks, bridging them both visually and thematically, grounding the performance in the deeper story behind the music.

Filmed with multiple cameras including action and 360° cameras alongside professional equipment. I served as art director for the visual side of the project — responsible for the overall visual concept, motion graphics, promotional materials, and cover artwork.

Live Clips
Each of the six tracks features its own individual visual treatment and animations,
developed in accordance with the track's content, color palette, and place within the group's lore.
Animated Interludes
The four interludes are animated sequences accompanying the vocalist's live readings of older lyrics — performed as spoken word over visuals rather than music. Each interlude was hand-crafted as a collage-style animation combining motion design, stop-motion techniques, and real footage with custom-prepared visual assets. The visual language of each draws directly from the group's lore and reflects the color system of the surrounding tracks.
